Allison Chan, Learning and Behavioral Strategist

I am thankful for the opportunity to be the Learning and Behavioral Strategist at St. Matthew’s. It is truly a blessing to be able to offer specialized services to our students and additional support for our teachers. The opportunity of a Christian education is something that I hold near and dear to my heart as a lifelong WELS member. I taught special education for over a decade in many grade levels ranging from Kindergarten to 12th grade. I hold a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and special education from Bradley University. I also hold a master’s degree in special education from Illinois State University. Additionally, I earned a postgraduate certificate focused in applied behavior analysis and am a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). In recent years, I have transitioned out of the classroom to a consultant role. As a BCBA, who has an extensive special education teaching background, I am able to provide targeted behavioral and academic interventions in specialized areas. I am excited to share my unique knowledge and approach to help make a Chistian education accessible to our growing population of students.
