Pastor Daniel Schmidt

Greetings in the name of our loving Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! My wife Elizabeth (Liz) and our family moved to the area in April 2008. I was born in Appleton, Wisconsin. In 1975, my family moved from Appleton to Noblesville, Indiana, a town located just north of Indianapolis. At the age of 14, I moved 6 hours from home to attend Michigan Lutheran Seminary in Saginaw, Michigan. I graduated from MLS in 1986. From 1986 to 1990, I attended and then graduated from Northwestern College in Watertown, Wisconsin. Since graduating from Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in 1994, I have served congregations in Menomonie, Wisconsin and St. Clair, Minnesota.

Liz and I were married on August 28, 1993. During our years of marriage, the Lord Jesus, the Lord of the home, has blessed us with six children: Daniel, Jr.; Emily; Jacob; Benjamin; Grace and Nathan.

Serving as an Associate Pastor, I am truly thankful and humbled that the Almighty Lord of the Church has chosen to use me to carry out the full-time Gospel ministry here at St. Matthew’s. I am here to serve you, to the best of my ability, with the precious truths of God’s Word, “which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus” (2 Timothy 3:15).
