St. Matthew’s has been privileged to serve the Oconomowoc area since 1922! For nearly 100 years, St. Matthew’s has been “just the right place” for hundreds of families.
A Partnership Atmosphere
At St. Matthew’s, we don’t just enroll students in our school, we enroll families! The teachers, students, and their families make up a real community that shares a common faith and pursues a common goal, the goal of providing an excellent, Christ-centered education for school children in grades 3K-8. Parents and teachers partner together to provide students with the personalized attention and guidance they need inside and outside of the classroom. Families receive weekly updates from the school’s faculty on their child’s progress, and all families have access to their child’s grades, along with other helpful resources. The home-school partnership, founded on God’s Word, makes St. Matthew’s just the right place for children and their families.
Teaching the Mind, Reaching the Heart
While St. Matthew’s is recognized for the strength of its programs and competitive curricular and extra-curricular offerings, the lessons we hope our students take with them go beyond those measured by test scores, trophies, and graduation lists. Together, we are equipping students to understand the truth about life, the world, and God’s purpose in their lives so that they may grow and mature into perceptive and caring Christians who will have a transforming influence on the world. St. Matthew’s is just the right place to develop the whole child.
Generosity and Thankfulness
St. Matthew’s generous financial assistance programs ensure that students from all backgrounds are able to take advantage of the unique education offered at St. Matthew’s. Jesus tells us in Matthew 28: 18-20, “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” St. Matthew’s takes these words of our God seriously and therefore makes available numerous grants, scholarships, and discounts available for families depending on need and circumstances. It is our prayer that by all possible means we bring every person within our area of influence closer to Christ. St. Matthew’s is just the right place for everyone!
