Andrea Neumann

I have the incredible privilege of being able to teach 4K in the morning and kindergarten Math and Social Studies in the afternoon at St. Matthew’s.

My first call out of Martin Luther College was to St. Matthew’s 7 years ago. I received my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Martin Luther College. I am licensed in the State of Wisconsin for grades K-6. I have also held a Minnesota Teaching License since 2008. I am currently pursuing options to supplement my education and experience by adding early childhood certification to my Wisconsin licensure.

After graduation, and prior to receiving my call at St. Matthew’s, I was blessed with two opportunities to gain invaluable early childhood experience by working as the lead teacher in the two-year old room at a child care center in New Ulm, Minnesota and as a lead teacher in the infant room at another child care center in Nicollet, Minnesota.

My husband’s name is David. We have been married for 10 years. He has been employed the last 7 years as a paralegal at the family law firm of Brazil and Benske LLC, in Milwaukee. He loves playing organ in area churches and at St. Matthew’s.

St. Matthew’s has been like a second family to me. I enjoy providing a safe, loving, consistent and Christ-centered classroom environment where children feel the confidence to explore and try new things.

I especially enjoy teaching children how to think so that they can become independent problem solvers. I spend my spare time with my pug, Harley, and reading mysteries. Recently, I’ve picked up crocheting and am working on a blanket.

My favorite Bible passage is my confirmation verse.   Psalm 27:1

“The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear?

The Lord is the stronghold of my life – of whom shall I be afraid?”
