Betty Brown

I began playing the flute in 4th grade in Waukegan, Illinois, playing in the school and municipal bands and orchestras as the principal Flute/Piccolo wherever I lived from then until now.

My teaching began in high school giving lessons and continued at Lawrence Conservatory of Music, then as a band director for two years in Appleton before I married and moved. Teaching lessons to children ages six through college followed as I moved and raised three children, all in band programs. Susie is also a band director in Greenville, WI. I have had the honor to sub long term as a band director and been guest conductor for two municipal bands.

Organ lessons allowed me to begin playing for church in high school and hold the organist, pianist and choir director position later for a church. Being able to teach musicians and perform for church doing something I love is truly a blessing.
