Each year St. Matthew’s puts on a school musical, alternating between upper and lower-grade performances each year. A large portion of the practicing and learning of parts/songs occurs during the school day, but there are some after-school rehearsals in the weeks leading up to the performances. St. Matthew’s puts an emphasis on providing children with opportunities to present and perform in front of audiences, whether as part of classroom presentations, participation in co-curriculars (band, choir, and chimes), or as part of school musicals.
