Amy Mamerow, First Grade/Reading Specialist
My name is Amy Mamerow. My husband Tim and I two adult children. Our son, Caleb, is employed by John Deere as a Welding Trainer. Our daughter Emily is a manager at a local Italian deli. We live here in Oconomowoc and enjoy the beauty of this city. My husband and I enjoy ATV’ing. We “hit the muddy trails” whenever we get the chance!
I teach first grade and also serve as the school’s Reading Specialist. This is my 29th year of teaching at St. Matthews. I believe that first grade is where the action is! I greatly anticipate watching them grow, both spiritually and academically. It is certainly a privilege to be able to share the message of God’s love with His little lambs. I completed my Bachelor’s Degree at DMLC in 1989. In 2010 I completed my Master’s Program in Reading through Concordia University. I also hold a Wisconsin State Teaching License, including a 316 Reading Teacher and 17 Reading Specialist License. I am very involved with the Wisconsin State Reading Association and serve as the President of the Waukesha County Reading Council. I feel very blessed to be a teacher here at St. Matthew’s.
Favorite Bible Passage – Isaiah 40:31
“But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”
