Beth Ziel, Kindergarten
I have been blessed to serve as the kindergarten teacher here at St. Matthew’s for the past twelve years. I also have had experience teaching grades 4K-6 during the 29 years of my teaching career.
I received my bachelor’s degree from Martin Luther College (then DMLC) in 1985. I enjoy attending regular meetings of the Waukesha County Reading Council during the school year to stay up-to-date on new reading practices.
My husband (Eric Ziel) and I were married in 1986 and have three children. Megan lives in Rapid City, SD, with her husband and two children, and Jake is on the staff of Divine Savior Academy in Doral, FL. Our youngest, Anna, teaches and coaches at Great Plains Lutheran High School in Watertown, SD.
Being a teacher is a great privilege! I especially enjoy watching kindergartners grow over the course of these nine months in so many social and academic areas. Most importantly, I feel honored to play a role in their faith life as they learn more about their Savior’s love for them!
Favorite Bible Passage – I Corinthians 10:31
“So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.”
